The Organisation for Quality and Innovation Strategies
The Organisation for Quality and Innovation Strategies (Qualies) was established in Salalah, southern Oman, in 2001. From the outset, Qualies embraced the vision that Oman and the Middle East would benefit from a creative and innovative free-standing organisation capable of linking research, human resource management, technology, and enterprise development, for the purpose of generating new opportunities, prosperity, and a sustainable society.
In its early years, Qualies focused primarily on supporting research and education in the regional context. A reorganisation initiated in 2012 broadened the orientation. Since then, Qualies has furthered international partnerships centering on the advancement and application of novel value-enhancing technologies and innovation, spanning a series of significant project agendas devised to generate lasting value and contribute to sustainable development.
The following exemplify partnerships and strands of activity close to Qualies core mission:

Reforestation/Plantations
Qualies is the sole certified distributor of the Groasis water-saving technology in Oman, and with distribution rights in some other countries as well. Contact the secretariat for further information.

Establishing Pioneering Biofuels Production
Qualies collaborates closely with HutanBio, a science based spinoff from Cambridge University on the establishment of a unique algae based biofuel production unit in Oman. Contact the secretariat for further information.
